Community
We are led by local needs and passionate about improving opportunities for people across Dundee. Our Family Club supports integration between New Scots and people who have lived in Scotland all their lives. Our recent projects CosyAntics and ScrapArts welcomed between 50 and 180 per day to socialise, meet new people, share food and take part in craft activities together.
Please see below for the different ways you can be involved in ScrapAntics.
Our Community Space
@ The Wellgate Centre
We would love to host your group or event in our community space. We have a very large, open plan room with plenty of tables and chairs, which is adaptable and can be rearranged to suit different types of workshops and events.
We have had theatre performances, meetings, training sessions, gigs, workshops and play sessions in the space so far! We rent the space on a sliding scale to suit different organisations and include tea, coffee, biscuits and a projector and screen.
All welcome
ScrapAntics offer a range of activities and opportunities to all New Scots - those from different countries and cultures who now call Dundee their home.
We provide a safe, welcoming space where you can get to know new people, learn creative skills try different experiences, visit new places and feel part of our community.

Volunteering
ScrapAntics couldn’t exist without our wonderful team of volunteers!
We often have opportunities to volunteer in our ScrapStore, at creative sessions and during events and activity days.
We are not currently seeking volunteers; however this is where all opportunities will be advertised. Please check back or keep an eye on social media, where volunteering call outs are announced.
If you have any specific questions please contact Elaine, our Volunteer Coordinator at elaine@scrapantcs.co.uk
Community Steering Group
As we are a community led organisation, we run a steering group who meet a few times each year. At these meetings we discuss the direction ScrapAntics is going in and find out how you, the community, would like to see us evolve.
This allows us to adapt and change what we do in response to the needs of our community and ensure all of our activities are wanted and enjoyed by local communities.
If you are interested in having your voice heard and being part of the direction of ScrapAntics, please get in touch to find out about the next steering group meeting.
